DEDICATED TO TIFFANY MOYO

Sometimes

The young die so young
And us
Having suffered so much already
Are left to suffer even more
Question
Ponder
Weep
Asking why God
Did this darkness visit us
Seemingly lost in an endless sea
An endless ocean of pain and confusion
Some of the pangs of pain
As steep and rough as the hundred meter waves in the middle of the ocean
The one you took away today God
She was young
She brought pride
And as we say here on this earth of ours
She showed much promise
Promise to be one who achieves and rises
But now she’s gone
Gone from here at least
Yet one mind says
When all the woes of our world are put together
Maybe she chose to be in a better place
She was too impatient to last many years in this semi hell
She wanted her liberation
Her salvation
Maybe she was too pure
Yet
Maybe this
Maybe that
But God
You took her
In a truly tragic way
And yet
It’s in these moments we must find our faith
Faith in those things which we are meant to believe
Faith in the grand design
The bigger vision of God
Which we can’t see
Which we can’t know
Every moment of prayer
Of studying religious text
The texts which are said to be from God
They are all to prepare us for these very moments
This very moment
So find your faith
Find your God
If ever there was a time
It’s now
