BAZ Acting CEO, Engineer Mathias Chakanyuka, announced that the licences were issued to six community-based broadcasters under the guidelines of the Broadcasting Services Act.

The newly licensed stations are: Chivi Community Radio in Chivi, Chomazumba Community Radio in Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe, Dande FM in Dande, Jakata FM in Gutu, Ndera FM in Marondera, and Nhimbe FM in Makoni District.
