His burial is set for Monday, November 4, 2024, with His Excellency, The President, Cde Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa, presiding over the proceedings.In an official statement, the Ministry expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from the nation during this time of mourning. Cde Chirinda, known for his unwavering dedication to the country, will be honored in a series of events that allow friends, family, and the public to pay their respects.Schedule of EventsSaturday, November 2:Starting at 10 a.m., the body of Cde Chirinda will be taken to Stand No. 9090 Nyatsime, located near Denota Primary School in Chitungwiza. This will be an opportunity for friends and relatives to pay their last respects to this distinguished Son of the Soil.Saturday Afternoon:At 12:30 p.m., the body will be airlifted from Denota Primary School to Plot No. 39, Katanya Farm in Matepatepa, where it will lie in state. This is another chance for family, friends, and the leadership of Mashonaland Central Province to bid farewell to this esteemed patriot.Sunday, November 3:From 1 p.m., the body will be flown back to Charles Gumbo Barracks, where it will again lie in state ahead of the burial.Monday, November 4:Burial proceedings will begin early in the morning. Members of the public are invited to attend and give a fitting send-off to Cde Chirinda. Mourners are expected to be seated by 7 a.m. as the community comes together to honor his legacy.This solemn occasion marks not only a farewell to a beloved leader but also a celebration of his contributions to the nation.
