By Ilyana Sithole The Civil Registry Department has revealed the creation of new sub-offices at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show Grounds in Harare and the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo. These new facilities will commence operations starting Monday, October 14, 2024. The Harare sub-office will initially concentrate on issuing national identity documents, whereas the Bulawayo office will offer services for both birth certificates and national identity documents. Both offices will operate from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This service expansion marks a crucial advancement towards the Department’s aim of providing legal identity for all Zimbabweans by 2030. By establishing these sub-offices in high-traffic locations, the Civil Registry Department intends to enhance accessibility and alleviate the load on existing offices.
