By Cimba Shepherd Nhamo A shocking murder case has shaken the small town of Binga, Zimbabwe, after Qiniso Dube, 30, fatally stabbed his friend Asher Sibanda over a dispute about a woman.The incident occurred on October 20 in Mafururo village, Lubimbi, when Dube and Sibanda, along with four others, including the woman, returned from Ntando Business Centre in the early hours of the morning. Dube allegedly told Sibanda to leave him and the woman alone, but Sibanda refused, leading to a deadly confrontation.Dube armed himself with a knife, punched Sibanda, and then stabbed him three times – once in the chest, back, and left hand. Sibanda died en route to a nearby clinic. Police swiftly arrested Dube, who appeared before Hwange provincial magistrate, Miss Fungai Dzimiri, facing a murder charge.The community is reeling from the senseless killing, expressing outrage and sadness. Residents are urging young people to resolve conflicts peacefully and seek help when emotions run high. They are also calling for an end to violence in the community.Dube was remanded in custody until November 5 and advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
