By Regina PasipanodyaFollowing the horrific accident that occurred near Lutumba tollgate along Masvingo-Beitbridge Road, the casualties had risen to 26 after one woman who was admitted at Parirenyatwa died on 19 February, 2025.In a police statement, the female adult died due to the injuries and the police are appealing to the members of the public to help in identifying the other two victims who died in the accident. One of the victims is a man and another one is a woman and those with the information should contact the police immediately.The tragic accident occurred when an Urban connect coach collided head-on with a haulage truck early in the morning on February 14, 2025, resulting in the death of 25 people.Following the accident, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Honourable Felix Mhona suspended Urban Connect Holdings Pvt Ltd from operating all of its omnibuses on all routes for six months.
