By Edward Makuzva Harare — Dynamos Football Club has announced the appointment of a new Executive Committee, marking a significant step in the club’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and reposition itself for sustained success. The appointments follow the recent dissolution of the previous executive body and signal a renewed focus on stability, accountability and professional management at one of Zimbabwe’s most storied football institutions. Leading the new structure is Mr Vincent Chawonza, who assumes the role of Chairman, supported by Mr Spencer Chihota as Vice Chairman. The administrative engine of the club will be overseen by Mr Devine Sena, appointed Secretary General, while Mr Desmond Bvute joins the committee with a specific portfolio for Marketing and Media, an area viewed as critical to revitalising the Dynamos brand and strengthening stakeholder engagement. The club has also confirmed the appointment of Mr Batson Nkoma as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), a role central to driving day-to-day operations, implementing strategic decisions and ensuring alignment between football performance and commercial objectives. In a move aimed at preserving institutional memory and continuity, Dynamos has retained two members from the previous executive committee. Mr David Chikomo continues as a Committee Member, while Mr Justice Mubayi remains in office as Honorary Treasurer, maintaining oversight of the club’s financial affairs. According to the club, the new executive committee will officially assume office on 1 January 2026. The appointments form part of a broader strategy to enhance operational efficiency, improve corporate governance and create a solid foundation for success both on and off the pitch. Dynamos Football Club expressed confidence that the new leadership team brings a blend of experience, professionalism and renewed energy, which will be vital in restoring the club’s competitive edge and reinforcing its status as a powerhouse of Zimbabwean football. As the club turns a new page, supporters and stakeholders will be watching closely, hopeful that the changes at executive level will translate into stability, growth and trophies in the seasons ahead.
