This is a timely response to the growing needs of Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector, especially as the country prepares for the upcoming summer season.Prof Obert Jiri, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting farmers by ensuring adequate fertilizer supply. He noted that preparations are underway to facilitate the smooth distribution of both fertilizers and seeds. “We are committed to supporting our farmers with the best possible products,” he said.Mr Sean Durrand, the General Director of SuperFert Bindura, highlighted the company’s dedication to providing farmers with the best possible products. “This expansion will enable us to produce more fertilizers that are tailored to the specific needs of our local soils and crops,” he said.The company plans to introduce new product lines, including specialty fertilizers designed for various crops, aiming to improve soil health and increase sustainability in farming practices.
