A 21-year-old woman, who was looking for employment, suffered a horrific ordeal on Friday when she was gang-raped, robbed, and then abandoned along Seke Road.

The victim had been lured by two men, one identified as Anthony and another whose name is unknown, under the guise of a job interview for an accountant position in Harare’s Central Business District (CBD).

They had arranged to meet around 3 PM.It is alleged that upon arrival, the woman found Anthony and his accomplice in a silver Honda Fit parked at the corner of Robson Manyika and Angwa Street.

She got into the vehicle, sitting with Anthony.

Anthony then instructed his counterpart to drive towards Chitungwiza, ostensibly to discuss the “job” offer.

However, along Seke Road, Anthony ordered the woman to hand over her iPhone and the US$2 in her wallet.

The two men then took turns to rape her without protection inside the parked car.

After the sexual assault, they dumped her and drove off.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the incident to H-Metro.

He added that the woman was referred to Parirenyatwa Hospital for medical examinations.
