By Dr Masimba Mavaza The men were treated to wonderful music by Elder Carlington Underson from Wellingbrough SDA church. The serenity and peace which opens men’s heart was exhibited by the singing of Elder Underson. The singing made each man forget his trouble for some good time. It is a pleasure to be out with men in prayer. Elder Emmanuel Mtindi who is a renowned and motivated singer himself complimented elder Underson’s song with his angelic voice. The divine service which is the crown of the day started with me praying holding hands as they oneness with God. Indeed there was the goodness of God. The purpose of man is being thwarted and the society is going down. Pastor Simba Muhau started by acknowledging the goodness of men coming together to seek the Lord. Pastor Muhau made the men benefit from 2nd Sammuel 12v15-20. Psalm 51:10-12: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your holy spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and sustain in me a willing spirit” (NRSV).Pastor Muhau said God is not afraid to sacrifice your salvation over your salvation. He again spoke about David and Uriah. Whenever you are not in the purposes of God the Devil will make you fulfil his. David did not go to war. So he wondered about and saw the wife of Uriah. He asked who it was even though he new that she was the wife of his own general. Despite knowing who she was David still called for her. Sin hardens you. But as me we will dwell on David’s rise. David slept with her and made her pregnant. Instead of facing it David tried to conceal it. David called Uriah to come and cover up-his sin. But Uriah in his drunken stupor was more reasonable than the sober David. David chose to go further by ordering the killing of Uriah. Sin makes you commit more in trying to cover it. This made God very angry because of the evil of David. God sent Nathan prophet. He confronted David. David spoke to Jehovah and prophet Nathan was asked to tell David that he will not die but his son will die as punishment. David went into prayer and fasting. After 7 days the child died. When David was told the child had died David rose cleaned himself and went to worship God. And he fasted. David never hid his emotions. He approached God and sought for forgiveness. Many a times Men will try to defend themselves if they are caught. Men should own up when they are wrong. So Joseph as a men when he was confronted by a woman. He feared God more than the unach This was an honourable act. Even in his failure, David ran to God when he was caught and exposed. Men should be their brother’s keeper. We should encourage each other when we fall. Even when you as a man gets into all sorts of troubles no money in the bank, no jobs. Problems at work any sort of a short coming know when to move on. Get up its over. The devil is an accuser of the brethren. Get up its over. David is praying for the son to leave. David is supposed to-be the one who is supposed to die. But the son died. David is the one who had sinned but the son died in David’s place. Another son died in our place. David sinned but the grace of God made David live because the son dies. When they killed Jesus the Jews made a serious mistake over. They pierced Jesus’s side with a spear. They did not know that by doing so they are opening the fountain of holy water and blood. After the sin was a saviour. Grace God’s grace is greater than all our faults. In any situation you are in Get up for it is over. All your situation get up your issue is over. Cry with the singer and say Pass me not oh gentle saviour. What Does it Mean to Ask God to ‘Create in Me a Clean Heart?’Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10I’m sure you’ve heard the prayer “Create in me a clean heart.” But why do we pray it and what are we really asking God to do? If God has forgiven our sins – past, present and future – at the moment we repent (Acts 2:38) and confess Jesus as the risen Lord (Romans 10:9), is it really necessary to ask Him to create in us clean hearts? That prayer (written and sung thousands of years ago, and now a part of Scripture) paints a picture for us of the deep consequences of sin. It shows what true repentance, remorse, and renewal look like. You should walk in confidence knowing that God has forgiven you. He has exposed you in order to save you. Get up for it is resolved. This prayer, written in the form of a song, is found in Psalm 51:10, but the context of this request gives us greater insight as to why it was prayed. Israel’s King David—known for his intimacy with God as expressed through many of the Psalms he wrote—experienced a season of sin in which he committed adultery and then murder to cover up his sin. It’s possible it was a full year or more from the time he first lusted after Bathsheba (a woman who was married to one of David’s “Mighty Men” referenced in 2 Samuel 23:8, 2 Samuel 23:39), to the day he was confronted by a prophet of God for taking another man’s wife and killing that man to cover up his sin (2 Samuel 12:1-9). Upon realizing the extent to which he had betrayed his God, David penned Psalm 51. It’s a heartfelt prayer, begging for God’s mercy, cleansing, and restoration. In Psalm 51:10-12, David prayed: Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a wiling spirit. (ESV) Dr Nganunu closed with a touching prayer. In our selfishness we beat our chest on the balcony of sin. Change us Lord. Change the men God. Men who are the prisons of the pas GOD Please free them. Give every men a spirit of rebirth. Free men from the prison of pride sin and many things. Let is learn from David. Pass me not oh gentle saviour. When men cry let them cry with hope. Motivate us in your on way God. Given new leaf of life the men dismissed for lunch.
