Tapiwa Masenda, the charismatic ZANU PF Mashonaland West Youth Boss, has been recognized for his exceptional leadership and tireless efforts to empower the youth in his province. He is set to receive the esteemed Lookout Masuku Consistency Award, which honors outstanding patriotic individuals who have made a lasting impact in their respective fields.

Lookout Masuku, a renowned military General, fought tirelessly for Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle. His legacy continues to inspire generations, and his name is synonymous with bravery, patriotism, and leadership. Masenda’s recognition is a testament to his dedication to upholding the values of patriotism and selflessness that Masuku embodied.

According to the Executive Director of Legacy TV, Pardon Mangwende, Masenda’s efforts to empower the youth in Mashonaland West have been commendable. He has successfully distributed land to the youth, implemented the Presidential heifer and poultry scheme, and combated drug abuse through sporting initiatives. These initiatives have not only improved the lives of young people in the province but have also instilled in them a sense of purpose and responsibility.

Masenda’s leadership style has earned him a reputation as a “lovely commander.” He is known for his jovial mood and ability to connect with the youth. His door is always open, and he is always willing to listen to the concerns and ideas of young people. This approach has endeared him to the youth, who see him as a role model and a champion of their causes.

Recently, Masenda’s province successfully held the Munhumutapa Youth Games in Chegutu. The event brought together youths from across the province, united by a common goal of promoting sports development and fostering a sense of community. The games were a resounding success, with participants showcasing their talents in various sporting disciplines. Masenda’s leadership played a significant role in the success of the event, which has become an annual fixture in the province’s sporting calendar.

As Masenda prepares to receive the Lookout Masuku Consistency Award, fireworks are expected on the award-giving day. Masenda is popularly known for his signature song “Dhe nhanha dhe,” which he sings whenever he rises to give a speech in both provincial and national gatherings. The song has become an anthem for the youth, who delight in singing along with Masenda. It remains to be seen if this time around, he will send the crowd ablaze with his signature song.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 7th at the ZANU PF headquarters in Harare.
