The Mombeshora Youth Tournament finals recently took place, and Minister of Youth Hon Tino Machakaire was the guest of honor at the event. In a show of support for the young athletes, Hon Machakaire donated sports jerseys to the finalists. The donated jerseys, which include soccer jerseys for the first and second-place teams and netball jerseys for the first and second-place teams, are original Puma products.

The jerseys feature an inscription “TinMac”, which is a transport and logistics company owned by Hon Machakaire. Speaking at the handover ceremony, Hon Machakaire expressed his gratitude to the host, Dr Douglas Tendai Mombeshora, for inviting him to officiate the ceremony. He also stated that as a guest, he wanted to contribute in his own way by donating the jerseys.

But Hon Machakaire’s impact went beyond the donation. He also enticed the crowd with his exceptional oratory skills, keeping them engaged and entertained throughout the event. In a surprising move, he occasionally called out individuals from the crowd, handing them cash for simply being in a jovial mood. This spontaneous act of generosity left the audience in awe, and many were left wondering who would be the next recipient of his kindness.

Hon Machakaire was accompanied by Mashonaland West youth boss Tapiwa Masenda at the event. The donation of sports jerseys and his engaging interactions with the crowd are a testament to Hon Machakaire’s commitment to supporting youth development and sports in Zimbabwe.
