The National AIDS Council (NAC) is mourning the untimely passing of its Director of Communications, Ms Medelina Dube, who died recently in Harare.

In a statement, NAC Chief Executive Officer Dr Bernard Madzima described Ms Dube as a dedicated leader and invaluable member of the organisation’s executive team.

“It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of our esteemed colleague and friend.

She was an integral part of our leadership team and made an invaluable contribution to the organisation.

This is a very sad period for the entire NAC family. May we all find strength and comfort from the Lord during this difficult time,” said Dr Madzima.

Ms Dube’s work in the communications portfolio was widely acknowledged, particularly her commitment to raising awareness, strengthening partnerships, and shaping NAC’s public engagement in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

The NAC family, colleagues, and the wider health community have extended their deepest condolences to Ms Dube’s family and loved ones, remembering her as a passionate professional whose legacy will continue to inspire.

Mourners are currently gathered at Number 7 Tiptol Close, Mandara, Harare.

Further funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
