Police Warn Against Organized Violence, Suspects Identified

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) issued stern warnings to those and any groups planning to cause violence and property destruction that they would be dealt with under the full force of the law.

In a press statement issued today by Commissioner P. Nyathi, the ZRP reported that they have identified individuals who occupy the ranks of instigators, inciters, and ring leaders of planned criminal conduct. Such crimes comprised malicious damage to property, like burning tyres and destroying buildings.

The police identified Jacob Ngarivhume and Amos Chibaya as among those individuals discovered to be involved in planning these possible acts of violence.

The ZRP promised the people that they and other security wings are vigilant and ready to handle firmly any rowdy elements intending to cause a stir in the prevailing calm atmosphere existing in the country.

Commissioner Nyathi also called for the public to remain vigilant and to report any criminal activity, persons inciting violence, threatening others, or compelling them to do illegal activities.
