Christmas is to celebrate the love of our Lord Jesus Christ,
A day to celebrate God’s love, that’s truly divine and just.
It’s a day to celebrate His love that manifested when God gave us His only begotten Son,
A sign of great love, that will forever be sung.

We must remember the birth of Jesus by sharing,
Sharing food with those who lack, and showing we truly care.
Clothing those who are walking naked and wearing rags,
Inviting to our homes those who sleep outside, with no place to call their own tags.

Those who romp around the streets of Harare begging,
To feed those who feed from the bins, and bring them to our tables to dine.
To bring them on table and treat them well,
For Christmas is all about love, that’s the story we must tell.

It’s not about taking your family to Dubai for a vacation,
When your employees last received their salaries some months back, and their needs are still in desperation.
It’s not a day to booze, when you owe the poor vendor money,
When you borrowed an avocado from her, and still haven’t paid, it’s just not funny.

It’s a day of prayer, remembrance, and sharing love,
A time to reflect on Jesus’ birth, and the love sent from above.
So let’s spread love, kindness, and generosity wide,
And make this Christmas, one that won’t be denied.

To those who need it most, let’s show we care,
And celebrate the love, that Jesus brought to share.
For in the spirit of Christmas, we find the true meaning of love,
A love that’s selfless, kind, and sent from above.
