By Dr Masimba Mavaza It is not a secret that lots of people have lost respect for the clown Matinyarare. He has been running around like a mad man chasing nothing with his cancer theory which is throwing egg shells to him. Rutendo Matinyarare swims in a pool full of ignorance. He does not know that GMO and cancer issues are not a cio domain. The fact that Rutendo failed to convince judges of the high court about his horribly un researched theory of cancer and genetically modified food does not mean that he has to drag the names of good people in the mud. On the 8th January 2025 Mr Rutendo Ben Matinyarare wrote an article that was shared on social media and adopted by some newspapers. In that article Mr Rutendo Ben Matinyarare made the wildest and most defamatory accusations against the former Director General of the Central Intelligence Organisation an arm of the President’s Office. In so doing not only did he undermine His Excellency, he also placed our country in significant security risk. Matinyarare in his article proved his ignorance and lunacy as he dived in the mucky waters he could not navigate. Mr Rutendo Ben Matinyarare begins his outlandish and incendiary allegations against the former CIO boss, Mr Isack Moyo, by, on the surface, extolling His Excellency the President. This superficial and hypocritical praise is the vain use of His Excellency’s name to conceal the very dark motive that is working against the country and the president. In this article I will expose the hypocrisy of Rutendo’s article and the ill designs that it pushes against His Excellency and the country.First and foremost the president had not told anyone, nor does he need to do so, of the reasons why he replaced the Mr Moyo. Be sure he has not told Rutendo, of all people.Mr Rutendo does not only misuse the name of His Excellency, he abuses the very honourable cause or fight against the illegal Western sanctions. True patriots use facts and empirical evidence to oppose the evil sanctions, not lies and shameless concoctions. We cannot allow the noble fight against the illegal sanctions to be captured by factionalism stooges like Rutendo Matinyarare acting on behalf of cowardly masters. Where is the evidence that France or any country is polluting our water courses and resources? Has Rutendo and his handlers shown this evidence to authorities for prosecution? Hysterical and lurid allegations against a man do not constitute credibility. They demonstrate how Rutendo, who is clearly opportunistic, is being used to propagate and deepen factionalism to destabilise Zanu PF. He does this while endangering national security as well. Even if such allegations against Mr Moyo were true, the subject matter and sensitivity are such that thay cannot be recklessly and culpably placed in the public domain. What Mr Rutendo has done, consciously or unconsciously, is an act of treason. He is exposing our country to untold security risks, all for the sake of pursuing the agenda of Moyo’s haters. Gushing out inflammatory allegations also undermines the cause against sanctions by casting such cause as one that is championed by irrational lunatics who have no respect for the truth. Zimbabwe is a respectable member of the international community and it heads SADC. It is in the wider interest of the country for its citizens to act honourably. Our voice can only be heard when we act with honour and credibility. We must therefore condemn, as I do now, the cheap but dangerous lunacy that would expose our country to scorn. We have an effective and credible way of dealing with both internal and external threats. That has nothing to do with the Rutendo and his hiding handlers’way.Equally despicable is Rutendo’s attempt to cast the CIO as a failing organisation which is allegedly rocked by divisions. The CIO is as formidable as it ever has been. Let Rutendo and other risk-takers not ridicule or misrepresent its capabilities and resolve to defend this country. It is plainly silly for anyone to pretend that preventing sewage and industrial inflows and contamination of our urban and other water bodies is the work of the CIO. To insanely make an implicit assignment of blame for water contamination to the CIO is a reckless attack on the President’s Office. Municipal authorities, the Department of Local Government, the Department of Water and others work together to keep our water resources safe. If there are criminal activities known to Rutendo, those he must report to the police instead of embarking on a hateful campaign against Mr Moyo. It is equally shameless of Rutendo and his handlers to weaponize the terrible spectre of cancer against Mr Moyo or against anyone for that matter. Cancer is a world-wide scourge. Sane people are aghast at Rutendo’s gross insensitivity to those who are ravaged by cancer and to grieving families of those who succumbed to it. Mr Rutendo is a heartless and insensitive human being who would proverbially and literally climb over dead bodies in order to get what he wants. He is a human being of no heart. He should be ashamed of his callous act in using this scourge to ravage Mr Moyo’s reputation. In any event, where is the medical evidence that water contamination has a direct link with cancer rates and cancer related deaths? There may or may not be those links. Let us soberly await the evidence. Rutendo and others must not rush to conclusions like a man who wees before he gets to the toilet urinary. While Rutendo has contributed to the fight against sanctions. Until now we had not realised that he thinks the cause against sanctions is his personal property. In his delusion he thinks he is fighting better and harder than anyone. Mr Moyo had served his country proudly and well in different capacities. No one can take away his illustrious history. The small men ganging against him are too conscious of the hopeless littleness that is dwarfed by the hugeness of his stature.Rutendo Matinyarare should be ashamed of himself. To Matinyarare i say Ngatinyararei nerutendo. Post navigation How Zimbabwe’s New Heritage-Based Curriculum Seeks to Modernize Education Back to School: Prioritizing Child Safety in a Changing World
