ZIM hip-hop singer, Tervil Kartel has taken the music scene by storm with double album release dubbed ‘Jasmin’ and ‘Lucy’d Dreams’.

According to Tervil , the ‘Jasmin’ album ,which consists of 12 tracks was inspired by a white artist named Jasmin Shaw, who sparked his creativity.

“She believed in me, so I did a song for her then she saw it was fantastic and I offered to do the whole album, hence named it after her ,” said the Tervil.

The album features collaborations with other international artists, including Indila on ‘Toxic Marriage’, Rinky Miraj on ‘Cold World’, and Moses on ‘Not My Cup of Tea’.

Other notable tracks include ‘Smash’ featuring Creence D and ‘If You’re My Friend’ and ‘We Might Die’

The ‘Lucy’d Dreams’ with seven tracks dwells around themes of higher consciousness and self-awareness.

“It’s about shedding of ego, being myself without being affected by the world’s opinions or thoughts or circumstances.

“The creative process was more spiritual, it was more about what was in me as a vessel,” said Tervil.

Tervil’s artistic journey has been marked by adversity as he candidly shares his struggles with self-doubt, psychological warfare, and self-harming habits.

” I’m more of an open-minded person. I feel like my ethnic group is connected to foreign traditions, which sometimes led to disconnection with those around me.

” I’ve learned to focus on the bigger picture and trust my instincts,” said Tervil.

The albums’ success marks a milestone in his career, solidifying his position as a rising star in the music industry.

” I’m working on something again, and this is going to be released very soon,” he said.
