By Dr Masimba Mavaza HARARE – The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has arrested Dr. Stanford Chigumira, the Director for Health Services in Zanu PF, on charges of fraud. Dr. Chigumira is accused of soliciting a US$500 payment from Mirriam Mverechena in exchange for securing a spot for her son in the Primary Care Nurse Training Course for the September 2024 intake.When her son was not admitted, Mverechena reported the matter to both the Ministry of Health and Child Care and ZACC, prompting Dr. Chigumira’s arrest. He is set to appear before the Harare Magistrate Court on Saturday, 14 December 2024. His arrest has proved that there are no sacred cows in ZANU PF.
