ZANU PF Diaspora Districts Unite in Calling for a Central Committee Seat

They say in unity much is achieved,” and this has never been truer for the ZANU PF diaspora districts, which have united in a historic call for formal representation in the party’s Central Committee.

Dozens of representatives from ZANU PF diaspora districts have converged in Mutare for the ongoing conference, where they are collectively pushing for inclusion in the Central Committee, a move that would cement the voice of the diaspora within the party’s top decision-making body.

Most diaspora delegates attending the conference are standing firmly together, insisting that the time has come for the party to recognise the strategic importance of its members abroad.

The call is simple but powerful; the diaspora must not only contribute but also participate at the highest levels of policy formulation and party governance.

While the diaspora delegates have also raised other key resolutions, including the establishment of a Diaspora Quota in Parliament and the creation of a Minister for Diaspora Affairs, the primary focus remains clear.

If only one goal can be achieved at this conference, the united delegates are determined that it should be Central Committee representation.

If successful, this move will mark a historic milestone for ZANU-PF and for Zimbabweans abroad.

It will ensure genuine representation for the millions of patriotic citizens who continue to contribute to the nation’s economy and political life from across the globe.

More importantly, it will bring the diaspora districts closer to the core of party decision-making, turning their influence from supportive to strategic.

Over the past few years, their efforts have been instrumental in countering opposition narratives abroad and strengthening the image of ZANU-PF internationally.

What was once considered an opposition stronghold among Zimbabweans in the diaspora has now been transformed into an expanding base of loyal and mobilised party members, a clear sign of ZANU-PF’s growing global strength.

This renewed confidence has been further boosted by recent remarks from the Party Chairperson, Cde Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri, who reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting and empowering diaspora structures.

She emphasised that the diaspora is an integral part of the party’s future and called for continued investment in strengthening its organisational capacity and participation.

As the conference continues in Mutare, one message rings loud and clear: the diaspora is ready to take its rightful place at the decision-making table.
