By Dr MASIMBA MAVAZA The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is leading a massive manhunt for Anymore Zvitsva, accused of murdering five family members in a brutal attack at Plot 9, Ona Farm, Guruve, on December 11, 2025. The victims, identified as Grace Zvitsva (66), Loice Chiringaushe (37), Takudzwa Kariva (5), Tatenda Chirenje (2), and Tendai Zvitsva (40), were allegedly killed in a violent assault. Police investigations revealed that a neighbour responded to a noise disturbance and found Tendai Zvitsva bleeding profusely with deep cuts on the chest. Further inspection revealed extensive bloodstains around the homestead, with the bodies of the other victims lying in the main bedroom. Five children who had been sleeping in a spare bedroom were found unharmed. The ZRP has deployed drone technology, canine and horse patrols, and intelligence units to track down the suspect, believed to be hiding in a nearby forest or mountain. The community, including traditional leaders, has joined forces with law enforcement to ensure the suspect’s capture. Anymore Zvitsva is also linked to recent murder cases in Zimuna Village, Chief Bepura, where three people were killed.
