Wealth on Display: The Consequences of Chivayo’s Ostentatious Behaviour

There has been a new wave of Mbinga’s boasting and showing off their wealth. This spirit of displaying wealth ostentatiously to those who are less fortunate has borne several negative consequences. ZANU PF has been at the receiving end by allowing people like Chivayo to show off his wealth. The problem ZANU PF is facing now has been perpetuated by the reckless boasting of Wicknel Chivayo and the crew of Mbingas. The boasting and the shameful publicity endeavours being done by these Mbingas has had negative social consequences. It has cultivated serious resentment and envy. Flaunting wealth by these Mbingas associated to the houses of power has fostered resentment and envy among those who are struggling financially, leading to social unrest and the current conflict.

The Chivayorism which is the Excessive display of wealth has exacerbate social divisions, highlighting economic disparities and creating a sense of “us versus them”. Unfortunately Chivayo has always made a point to let whoever has an ear to hear that Chivayo is ZANU PF. It appeared that the privileges Chivayo is having are motivated by money. Which means some offices are bought while other offices are worked for. The behaviour of these Mbingas has caused serious psychological consequences and Negative Emotions. We should always remember that when people witness extreme wealth disparities the act evokes feelings of inadequacy, frustration, and anger among those who are less fortunate. These less fortunate happens to be voters.

The other effect of these show offs made the wealthy individuals to become less empathetic towards those who are struggling, potentially leading to a lack of understanding and connection. This is being seen by irresponsible donating of cars and money by Chivayo. This has caused serious economic consequences and Increased Tensions. This becomes an unorthodox way of perpetuating Inequality. Flaunting wealth is perpetuating economic inequality, as it has reinforced the notion that wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few, while others struggle to make ends meet. This has given ZANU PF a very bad name. What Chivayo has and is doing by displaying wealth is perceived as insensitive or arrogant can damage relationships between different cultural or socioeconomic groups.

Excessive displays of wealth done by Chivayo has also reflected and reinforced values that prioritize material possessions over other aspects of life, potentially contributing to a culture of consumerism and excess. Chivayo has created party members who come for a reward and not for ideological reasons. The party has not been mindful of the potential consequences of displaying wealth and to consider the impact on others, it is this Associating with dubious characters which is bringing governments down in several ways. When government officials associate with dubious characters, it can lead to corruption and scandals, eroding public trust in the government. Associating with dubious characters can damage the government’s reputation and credibility, both domestically and internationally.

The government’s legitimacy has taken a heavy knock and as it is questioned and is perceived as being influenced by or complicit with dubious characters.It sends a very bad signal as people doubt Governance and Decision-Making.

Any action taken by government always leaves a suspicion that the decision makers are highly compromised and are motivated by Undue Influence. Dubious characters are known to exert undue influence over government decision-making, potentially leading to policies that benefit their interests rather than the public good. This is seen in many unexplained tenders. All this has caused negative Consequences for the Country and the party.

This makes investors lose confidence in the government’s ability to govern effectively.The government’s association with dubious characters can lead to social unrest, as citizens may demand accountability and transparency.There are numerous examples of governments being brought down or severely damaged by associating with dubious characters, such as corrupt businessmen or organized crime figures. These associations with rogue people causes International reactions which are heavy and counter productive. Consequences of associating with dubious characters are far-reaching, and leading to international sanctions, diplomatic isolation, or other forms of repercussions.

Overall, associating with dubious characters can have severe consequences for governments, including loss of public trust, damage to reputation, and compromised governance.
