Richmond Secondary School in Mhangura recently celebrated its Speech and Prize Giving Day with grandeur, honoring exceptional student achievements. The event’s significance was elevated by the distinguished presence of Guest of Honor, Mr. Erisha Bokoro, ZANU PF Makonde DCC Chairman.

As Mr. Bokoro took the stage, his warm smile and inspiring words captivated the audience. He was particularly fascinated by the event’s theme: “To promote knowledge and desire in learning, to change lives of learners.” “This theme resonates deeply with our nation’s vision,” he noted. “It aligns seamlessly with the current Heritage-Based Education 5.0 module introduced by the Second Republic, aimed at fostering a holistic education system.”

Mr. Bokoro lauded the school for its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, aligning with Zimbabwe’s visionary Education 5.0 module. This pioneering approach prioritizes industrialization and commercialization of research, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, community engagement and social responsibility, cultivating skills development and talent harnessing, and inculcating value-based education, patriotism, and national pride.

Headmaster Mr. Allain Mudakura expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Bokoro for gracing the occasion. “Your presence serves as a catalyst for our students’ success,” he emphasized. “Your words of encouragement will resonate with them for years to come.”

The ceremony recognized outstanding students with prestigious awards for academic and extracurricular achievements.
